Riesling
Two Rivers
Salads
The Two Rivers Riesling offers up apricot, lemon zest and honeycomb with lashings of citrus. The wine is concentrated with flavour and has beautiful texture in the mouth. One of the best wines to have with those spicier or oriental dishes. A personal favourite of ours which we will keep coming back to.
Two Rivers of Marlborough established itself in 2004 and the name refers to the two rivers that flow through the Marlborough wine region; Awatere and Wairau River’s. Sourced from the Southern Valley the Riesling is hand harvested from a single vineyard of 20-year-old vines.
The wine was whole bunch pressed and cool fermented to retain the crispness usually associated with Riesling. The wine then rested on lees for 4 months to develop texture, weight and richer flavours.
