Pinot Noir
Two Rivers
Pates, terrines and charcuterie, Poultry, ham & pork
An elegant style of Pinot Noir by Two Rivers with an intense aroma of dried herbs, wild red fruit and earthy spice. There is real energy andpace here, bright red fruit with charred cherry, a silken blend of power and finesse, the wine is framed by quality oak and firm yet fine grain tannins
Harvest & Winemaker’s notes:
A convergence of flavours from four separate vineyards located on the banks of the Wairau and Awatere rivers. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes weregently pressed and fermented, at cool temperatures, in stainless steel to maximise fruit purity and character. A percentage of the wine was aged on natural yeast lees in French barrels for 3 months, adding texture, complexity and increased mouthfeel to the palate.
History of Two Rivers:
Established in 2004, Two Rivers of Marlborough takes its name from the iconic rivers that feed the wine growing heart of Marlborough’s renowned Wairau and Awatere Valleys.
It was in the Awatere valley, overlooking the braided river, that founder and winemaker David Clouston spent his childhood. He now lives in the Wairau valley, where he has made his home and his mark on the wine industry.
